The Question:   Do you support or oppose marijuana prohibition?   How did  you reach your decision?   Are you willing to examine the evidence?  

The Evidence:   Here's what the evidence tells us?   It tells us that: 

*** Marijuana prohibition finances terrorism,   
*** Corrupts federal, state, county, and city government officials,   
*** Raises its price dramatically, Legal production cost:  about $10 / ounce 
        Present consumer price:   about $400 per ounce  
*** Prohibition pushes marijuana "underground" into the "black market",  
*** Turns production, distribution, and billions of dollars
        in profits over to criminals, 

*** Makes criminals wealthy, and gives them enough money
        (more than 150 billion dollars every year from just marijuana)
         with which to corrupt corporate executives and elected officials,
*** Completely eliminated product quality and product safety,

*** Destroys the lives of hundreds of thousand of young adults
        by making criminals out of otherwise law-abiding people,  
*** Is responsible for over fifty percent of the world's criminal activity,  
*** Causes drug-related violence such as that presently going on in Mexico,   

*** Is a major contributor the the gang violence on our city streets,   
*** Supports a multi-billion-dollar police and prison industry,   
*** Pushes our political system toward a fascist-style police state, 
*** Reduces the tax base,

*** Wastes billions of dollars of vitally needed tax money,  
*** Is a major contributor to environmental destruction,
 and does absolutely nothing to stop its use.

Legalizing marijuana, regulating its distribution, and taxing it similar to the way alcohol is taxed, will turn this multi-billion dollar liability into a multi-billion dollar asset.   

The prohibition of alcohol was a huge, social disaster.   Criminalizing marijuana is disaster a hundred times worse.   Contrary to the stories you've been told, marijuana prohibition:
IS NOT  A stepping stone to other extremely harmful drugs.
                      This conclusion was the result of an intensive
                     presidential commission ordered by President Richard Nixon.
DOES NOT  Promote its use.  
                     Legal or outlawed, its use is about the same. 
DOES NOT  Reduce crime.     
                    Eliminating prohibition will dramatically reduce crime.
DOES NOT  Reduce problems.  
                    It dramatically increases the ones we already have.

It's makes millions of people "criminals," including at least three of our nation's Presidents - Bush, Clinton, and Obama.   The indirect financial cost (police, courts, prisons, crime victims, etc.) are staggering.   The annual loss of tax revenue is measured at least in the tens of billions of dollars.   Probably, it's more like hundreds of billions of dollars.  

 

Our Conclusion: To Continue the Prohibition of Marijuana Is Absolute, Complete, and Total INSANITY!

Marijuana prohibition is the only reason why an incredibly-productive, very-versatile, highly-useful, multi-billion-dollar hemp industry is prohibited by federal government law.   Hemp is a non-psychoactive plant.   Its production and use are prohibited because the plant looks like Marijuana.  

Here are some examples of its value:  The nation's family farms can be  (and many will be)  dramatically revitalized by legalizing and growing hemp for the production of fiber for paper and for cloth.   Hemp production will save tens of thousands of acres of vitally needed forests from being destroyed for making paper.

A sacred journey is a way to consciously and intentionally connect one's self to the portion of life that is not in the physical world.   Our intention is to teach participants how to intentionally connect to other side of reality without using mind-altering substances.  

In our process, marijuana is the equivalent of "training wheels on a bicycle."   We consider it a tool with which to break out of one's mentally-created prison of false beliefs about who and what we are and about the nature of reality.  

We show people how to shift attention away from the physical word and to focus on internal feelings, on internal state of being, on seeing how our thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, and expectations control our lives.  

One can say we are using marijuana as our "key to the vaults of heaven."   Once the door is open, you can set the key aside.
